I am a qualified and accredited Supervisor and able to provide supervision for students in hypnotherapy training and qualified hypnotherapists.
Supervision within the hypnotherapy profession is not yet a statutory requirement, however, it will become compulsory and many of the main accrediting bodies within the professional field highly recommend and even require qualified hypnotherapists to have regular supervision. As a training provider, I strongly suggest and recommend that all students who train with Mind-field Training have monthly supervision either on a one to one basis or in a group.
What is Supervision?
A working relationship between 2 or more people giving:
Supervision is used to maintain professionalism in your therapy practice. It helps you identify problems within your practice and techniques; transference; issues around charging, boundaries – personal relationships with clients, time keeping and trigger points which may occur. Supervision is another pair of eyes and ears on your work – hence the word “Super – Vision”
Supervision is invaluable in helping you maintain, safe, ethical practice.
I offer the following supervision:
One to one Supervision
This is held between the Supervisor and Supervisee on a monthly basis.
Whichever supervisor you choose, the Supervisor must hold a qualification in Supervision and also hold a higher level of qualification or experience to the Supervisee
Supervision sessions last 1 hour and fees are charged at £55 per session
A Supervision contract is also agreed and signed between both parties
As your supervisor, I will outline any areas for development or targets to reach plus a brief review of the session. The supervisee will be required to give a summary of the supervision session to the supervisor after each meeting.
One to one supervision can be held face to face in Tonbridge or Hawkhurst or via Skype or on the telephone.
A maximum of 4 people ( excluding the supervisor) held on a monthly basis.
The supervisor will run the meeting. Fees are £30 per person per meeting
Each supervisee will contribute to the meeting
Ratio of time per quantity of students is:
2 people – 1.5 hours
3-4 people – 2 hours
Supervision offers you the opportunity to maintain professional practice and safeguards you as the therapist and your clients. I look forward to supporting you in your practice.
